The chicest Christmas market in Paris?

Over the past few years that I’ve lived in Paris, I’ve consistently gone back to Le Bon Marche for shopping. I like that it’s a large indoor area with a wide selection of merchandise and the space feels contemporary and very comfortable - not too crowded and confusing like the famed Galeries Lafayette could sometimes be. I’ve always been surprised that not too many tourists flock to this department store when they come to Paris. It remains more of a local favorite amongst the well-heeled Parisians.

Every year during the Christmas holiday season, the ground floor of Le Bon Marche transforms into a Christmas marketplace. Independent brands occupy the floor and showcase their work through their booths, many with customization stations. There are booths with great home gift ideas, gifts for men, children and even toddlers. You can’t escape the holiday spirit in the air! It is also a great place for shoppers to get ideas and inspirations for holiday gifts.

I always like walking through this Christmas marketplace to see which independent brands are being featured, and I’ve gathered a few here so you can check them out:

I will try to visit each of these brands’ stores to do a more in-depth review of each over the coming months. Stay tuned!
